First and foremost, we love doing family shoots! We have a family, of two small children ages five and one. We go out of our way to make sure your family shoot, regardless of ages or number of people, will be exactly what you want it to be... Great!
1. Your days before the shoot, be mindful of the sun as you're out and about. We recommend a day or two before the shoot to not be out in the sun too much.
2. Families with small children we recommend that you bring with you small entertainment items. Use of noisemaking toys is often one the best ways to gain attention and get smilies from little ones. Additionally, crackers, cookies and juice are also small thing that can help make the shoot go smoother in a big way. For older children, it seems to be a good idea to prepare "bribes" to help them have a great shoot.
3. What to wear? Although this can often be difficult question, we would like to offer a few basic suggestions. Avoid wearing all-white, we suggest that you might wear colors that would work well with the decor of your home or office. It is best to wear matching colors, that way nobody sticks out in the picture. We recommend you wear soft, calm tones. Additionally, you will look great if moms and daughters and dads and sons wear the same clothes. Try to avoid graphic, branded, or ornamental clothes. You're welcome to bring a change of clothes, if you're looking for a little bit different look in the pictures. We do not charge for wardrobe changes. Would you recommend that you bring with you a towel for each person in the photo shoot, as occasionally you can get a little wet. Finally, Hawaii has many beautiful local flowers, the use of flowers or leis can really accent your pictures and give them that "Hawaiian" feeling.
4. Although we have many ideas for your shoot, we love to see what you would like to do. Also we love to work with your ideas. Working together, we can make the shoot be exactly what you want it to be, while at the same time having lots of fun.
5. Some might think "I am not photogenic" or something along those lines. We specialize in bringing out the best side of you, the person who you really are in the very best light. Relax, and enjoy the scenery, you will look your very best!
